360° Camera Arts
Camera Arts goes Bourbaki: the panorama from new perspectives
Fourteen students from the HSLU’s BA Camera Arts programme rediscovered the Bourbaki Panorama – with different cameras, coloured light and a great deal of curiosity. They explored the panorama from unusual perspectives, worked in front of and behind the scenes, experimented with projections and also involved passers-by in their work. The images from an analogue large-format camera, in which the painting seamlessly transitions into three-dimensional space, offer a special visual experience. These works are reminiscent of early photographs from the period of internment and build a bridge between historical imaging practices and the contemporary present.
The artistic-documentary works invite you to sharpen your own gaze and experience the European cultural monument in a new way.
